Roundsman turns the day's local delivery orders into rounds. Stops are split between drivers by area and van space, and each round is put in an order that drives less. Promised delivery windows come first, and any window that still cannot be met is named with how late. Each customer is given an arrival window the driver can keep, rounded to the quarter hour. A stop that fits no van is listed, not dropped, and long waits are pointed out. Drive times are estimates and are shown as such.

Grocers, florists and bakeries doing their own van deliveries. The incumbent (EasyRoutes, 4.9 stars, 289 reviews) is free for 50 orders and one driver, then $39 a month plus $39 for each extra driver; delivery time windows and customer notifications are on its $59 plan plus $59 a driver.
What it does
Inside Roundsman
straight-line distance × a road factor (1.35) at an average town speed. Live, a self-hosted routing engine (OSRM, free and open) replaces the estimate; nothing else changes.
stops swept round the depot by compass bearing, each driver taking the next run until their van is full.
nearest stop first, then 2-opt — undo any two legs that cross — until nothing saves distance.
stops are moved while that removes lateness; then distance and how soon customers are served decide, which puts a stop that makes the van wait (a café that takes deliveries after 1pm) at the end. A window that still cannot be met is named with how late.
widens down the round (each earlier stop can run over), starts no earlier than the van leaves, sits inside any promised window, and is rounded to quarter hours.
