Progeny Apps / Shipping & delivery / Consign
For shopify merchants on Basic and Shopify plansChecks what each order cost to ship against what the customer paid, and suggests break-even rates.
Consign is for stores on the Basic and Shopify plans with flat or weight-based rates. It compares what each customer paid for shipping with what the label cost, and shows which zones, weights, products and carrier services lose money over the month. It checks whether your free-shipping threshold pays for itself, and flags products with no weight and boxes billed for air. It then proposes a rate table that would have broken even and replays last period. Consign does not buy or print labels.

The problem
A shipping-cost check for Shopify stores on the Basic and Shopify plans: what each order really cost to ship against what the customer paid, which zones and weights lose money, and the rate table that would have broken even.
It answers what a merchant actually asks about shipping:
- Did I make or lose money shipping this order?
- Which zones lose money — over the month, not just on one unlucky order?
- Which weights, products and carrier services lose money?
- Is my free-shipping threshold paying for itself?
- Is a product missing its weight, so the table charges nothing for it?
What it does
Inside Consign
orders, what customers paid for shipping, what the labels cost, the profit or loss, every problem in words with a link, and each zone.
every order with Shopify's weight, the scale weight, the weight the carrier billed on, paid, label and net; each order in detail with what was in it and the arithmetic line by line.
zones (regions like US, US-AK, CA, *) and their rates: flat, by weight, by order price, free over an amount.
product weights (a 0 is flagged), and box presets with their dimensional weight and how much air they have been billed for.
profit and loss by zone, weight band, product and carrier service.
per zone, a weight-based table that would have broken even plus your margin, the free-shipping threshold raised where it was below cost, last period replayed on it, and the deliveryProfileUpdate payload.
shop, period, target margin, rounding, margin on goods, dimensional rules, weight bands, Shopify ids, look, backup / restore / sample / erase. Records live in this browser under the localStorage key consign.v1. Save a backup file from Settings now and then. A record that cannot be read is set aside under its own key, never written over.
