Wattmark records each model's class, top assisted speed, wattage and UL certificates. It checks the model meets California's e-bike definition, writes the words for its Class 1, 2 or 3 label, and puts the label and certificates on the product page. For New York City, it requires the UL certifications the city lists for e-bikes, e-scooters and their batteries, shows the battery safety information on the listing, and blocks any uncertified model from a city order.
