It keeps the W-9 date, whether it was signed, and only the last four digits of the tax number, or a W-8BEN for someone abroad. It totals each payee's year the way the IRS counts it and lists who needs a 1099-NEC and why, saved as a spreadsheet for your accountant or a filing service. Formkeep does not file anything and is not tax advice.

What it does
Inside Formkeep
each payee's tax set-up, W-9 (date, signed, last four digits of the tax number - nothing more is kept) or W-8BEN for someone abroad, and the year's totals; a To do list.
record a payout; with no W-9 it is held, not paid, and "Pay it now" lets it go once the form is in.

How am I billed?
$8 a month through Shopify's own app billing, on your normal Shopify bill. No card is taken here and there is no share of your sales.
What happens to my data if I uninstall?
Shopify tells the app the moment you uninstall, and the app erases what it kept for your store. Customer data requests from Shopify are answered the same way. The full detail is on the app's own privacy page.
